With UAE winning the bid to host Expo 2020 in Dubai, the world has erupted in sharing the nation’s joy.
If residents are jubilant, greetings have been pouring in from across the globe. Leaders and celebrities alike have taken to social media networks to congratulate UAE leaders and residents on the coveted win.
Among the bevy of celebrities who took to twitter was Kim Kardashian, who wrote: "Yes! Dubai won! #DubaiExpo2020 Congrats Dubai for winning bid for #Expo2020!"
Her sister had earlier in the month tweeted, "I back Dubai to win the World Expo bid in 2020 & support @HHShkMohd's vision with @DubaiExpo2020!"
The other stars who joined in Dubai’s joy were Lindsay Lohan.
Michael Jackon's sister La Toya also praised Dubai adding: "Congratulations!!! To @DubaiExpo2020 @HHShkMohd's a winner."
British singer Jay Sean was equally ecstatic and tweeted: "Yes! Dubai won! Awesome! #DubaiExpo2020 Congrats @HHShkMohd and Dubai for winning bid for #Expo2020!"
