William Hague has hailed a nuclear agreement between western powers and Iran as ‘good news for the whole world’.
An agreement to restrict Iran’s nuclear programme was finally reached after five days of top-level talks in Geneva, Switzerland.
Writing on Twitter after the interim deal at the weekend, the foreign secretary said: ‘Important and encouraging first stage agreement with Iran.
‘Nuclear programme won’t move forward for six months and parts rolled back.’
