The Senator who was shot at, at close range with rubber bullet is currently receiving treatments at an undisclosed hospital in Port Harcourt, having sustained serious injuries.

The Senator had gone to inquire why the police would disperse the rally that was very peaceful. Instead, of giving reasons for their actions, the police shot at the Senator at close range, using rubber bullets which hit him around the chest area, leaving him critically injured.
