Another Bomb Blast Reportedly Rocks Football Viewing Centre In Jos

There have been reports that another bomb blast has occurred in Jos, Plateau state. This makes it the third bomb explosion in the formerly quiescent city in less than a week.
The blast occurred around 9 p.m Nigerian time around a viewing center where people had gathered to watch the UEFA chmapions league final match. Audu Yohana, the NEMA Zonal Information Officer in Jos said the bomb had exploded on Murtala Mohammed near the main campus of University of Jos .
He said emergency responders were afraid to approach the scene of the latest explosion for fear that another bomb might be planted nearby. Four days ago, two major bombs exploded 30 minutes apart, killing over 200 people at the city's crowded Terminus market.

Reuters reports that the explosion was a botched suicide bombing that was meant to target an open air viewing of a football match in the central Nigerian city of Jos and it killed just the bomber. The bomber approached Jos View Centre while people were watching Real Madrid play Atletico Madrid, but failed to get there before his car exploded.
