South Africa Shuts It's Embassy In Nigeria For Fear Of Retaliation

Following protests by Nigerians held outside the consulate and at the South African High Commission in Abuja against the Xenophobic attacks on foreigners in South Africa, the country on Wednesday announced the closure of its consulate in Lagos.

South African Consul-General in Nigeria, Sam Monaisa, said this in a statement to the South African Business Forum that the closure would remain until Thursday.

Although the situation in Durban has calmed down, he wrote that he was concerned about the Nigerians that were being repatriated.

Saudi authorities executed a citizen on Tuesday after convicting him of sexually harassing and brutally murdering his Indonesian maid.

Shayea Al Qahtani was found guilty of killing the maid by beating her with a cane and pouring boiling water over her, the interior ministry said.

His execution in the southwestern province of Abha was the 63rd in the kingdom so far this year. That compares with 87 in the whole of 2014

A dangerous trend is lurking around us and it may have to do with celebs such as Kim Kardashian, Nicki Minaj and Jennifer Lopez.

More and more women are turning to illegal black market injections to have a bigger derriere.
These injections are not medical-grade silicone used by plastic surgeons, rather they contain anything from kitchen oil and cement to industrial silicone, and the exterior flesh wounds sometimes are closed up with super glue to prevent anything from leaking out.

Toddler cryogenically frozen by parents after death

A toddler who died from a brain tumour has become the youngest person to be cryogenically frozen in the hope she will one day be revived.

Two-year-old Matheryn Naovaratpong, from Thailand, was diagnosed with a rare cancer called ependymoblastoma. Tests revealed a 11cm tumour in the left side of her brain, Motherboard's Brian Merchant reports.

The disease has a five-year survival rate of 30 per cent.

Matheryn fell into a coma and endured 12 rounds of brain surgery, 20 chemotherapy treatments, and 20 radiation therapy sessions. Her parents switched off her life support machine and she died on January 8 this year.

At a press conference in Lagos today April 21st, the founder of the group, Dr Frederick Fasheun warned that nobody has the monopoly of violence.

"While the Nigerian government and the rest of the world seek a diplomatic solution to this season of madness, the OPC hereby warns that South Africa must end this rash of xenophobia within 48 hours. These ill-advised attacks are capable of bringing out the beast in the best of men. And we will not watch as fellow Nigerians are wantonly killed in cold blood. Enough is enough. South Africans must know that nobody has a monopoly of violence. They must halt the killings, the maiming and the looting of foreigners’ shops in their country. These incidents of xenophobia will provoke reprisals against South Africans and their interests in other lands. Thus, beginning with the belligerent Zulu King, all South Africans involved in these attacks should be arrested immediately and prosecuted for crimes against humanity.”he said

According to Dr Fasheun, what the group will do if the attacks continues cannot be revealed now but said South Africans should remember they have many businesses in Nigeria

South African Defence Minister, Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, said the soldiers will be deployed to Alexandra township, north of the main city Johannesburg. She said the Troops will not take over the responsibilities of the police but would assist in maintaining order.
