Kim Kardashian and Kanye West aren’t known for being a low-key couple, so it’s not hard to believe that they plan to go big — really big — for their first anniversary on May 24. Last year, the couple tied the knot in Europe with nuptials that made the Royal Wedding seem like an intimate affair. Now, they reportedly plan to hop back across the pond to renew their vows one year after they said, “I do.” This time around, a source tells Us Weekly, the couple will have the Eiffel Tower as their backdrop.
West is reportedly renting out the Eiffel Tower for the special occasion, along with booking the lavish 58 Tour Eiffel restaurant for a private event. Presumably, the couple’s families and respective entourages will be in attendance. The ceremony will take place following their appearance at the Cannes Film Festival, the source reveals.
“We fell in love in Paris,” Kardashian has said in the past. Indeed, the City of Lights has been their home-away-from-home over the past few years. Yeezy even recorded most of his album Yeezus in the French capital.
No doubt there will be pictures — and selfies — galore from the romantic event, if it does in fact take place. We’d be lying if we said we weren’t just a little bit in awe of Kimye’s love story.
