Yikes! Kelly Price Accuses The CVS Pharmacy In Los Angeles of Racism! [Pics]
Doesn’t corporate America know by now not to mess with Kelly Price?
In 2012, the Grammy-nominated singer read United Airlines — in particular an agent named Stephanie — for refusing to give her first class treatment even though she was a first class passenger. Now, Price is accusing a Carson, Calif., CVS store of racism for refusing to fill her prescription for painkillers late at night. The reason she couldn’t get her meds at the late hour, she was told by a clerk, was “because of the neighborhood.”
“I was offended for the people of this neighborhood. I was offended for anybody who lives in a neighborhood that may not be considered the upper echelon where expensive homes are, or where six- and seven-figure earners live,” Price said in an interview with CBS. A rep for CVS has apologized to Price, saying, “It is not the store’s or the company’s policy to decline to fill certain prescriptions after midnight.” Still, we think Kelly will probably take her scrips to the Rite-Aid across the street from now on.
