Asamoah Gyan and Rabiu Mohammed are the first Black Stars players to commiserate with victims of the flood disaster that has claimed over 100 lives in Accra.
Over 100 people are reported dead following an explosion at the filling station at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle following a heavy downpour on Wednesday night.
The flood aside claiming Ghanaian lives also washed away valuable properties of individuals and has seen businesses stall over the past 24 hours in what will definitely have consequences for the economy.
Rabiu Mohammed and Asamoah Gyan have Tweeted to sympathize with the victims of the disaster which is now being hash-tagged ‘Accra Floods’.
Asamoah Gyan:
“My prayer goes out to those who have been effected by the #AccraFloods.”
Rabiu Mohammed:
“My heart goes out to the families of the dead & injured due to the fire and floods in Accra. We’re with you.”
Ghana President John Mahama has already visited the badly affected site.
