Police Affairs Correspondents of the Edo State Police Command, Osamudiamen Aghimien, confirmed that two armed robbers met their waterloo in the hands of the police on Friday along Upper Sakponba road, Benin City.
The alleged armed robbers snatched an Audi for their operation and
later snatched another Honda Accord with plate no BEN-844AE. The police
received a distress call from residents while the armed robbers were
operating at Upper Sakponba road. The robbers opened fire at the police
officers as soon as they arrived the crime scene, which resulted in a
gun duel that led to the death of the robbers. A cut to size gun, some
local and foreign currencies, and some variety of phones were allegedly
found on the armed robbers.
