Officials say a tourist who fell to her death while posing for a photo on a San Diego beachside cliff was a graduate student in Chicago.
University of Illinois, Chicago spokesman Sam Hostettler tells the U-T San Diego newspaper that 25-year-old Anna Bachman had been studying for a master's degree in urban planning and policy.
Bachman was visiting her sister in San Diego and posing for a picture with her at Sunset Cliffs in Ocean Beach when she fell.
Several bystanders tried to revive Bachman, but she was declared dead when paramedics arrived.
Bachman was from Santa Rosa, Calif. and went to the University of California, Berkeley as an undergraduate.
