Woman killed by daughter on Mother’s Day

An Egyptian girl waited for the advent of Mother’s Day and stabbed her mother to death, saying she only carried out the old woman’s wish.

Police found the mother lying in a pool of blood in her apartment in the Egyptian capital Cairo and investigation led to the arrest of her daughter .

“The daughter confessed to murdering her mother on the Mother’s Day,” a police spokesman said, quoted by local newspapers.

“The girl said her mother had begged her for many years to kill her because she felt lonely and depressed…she chose Mother’s Day to commit her crime.”
