Iconic
veteran actor extraordinaire, Pa Moses Adejumo Olaiya popularly known as
Baba Sala celebrated his birthday on Monday, May 18,2015 with family
and friends as he turned 80!
Dressed in a grey suit, the prolific actor styled it with his signature Fedora Hat.
Baba
Sala started his career in showbiz as a highlife musician in 1964
heading a group called Federal Rhythm Dandies, where he discovered,
tutored and mentored King Sunny Ade who was his Lead Guitarist back
then.
Branching
off to acting, Baba Sala is regarded as the Father of Nigerian theatre
comedy, popularising theatre and drama alongside other icons like Hubert
Ogunde, Kola Ogunmola, Oyin Adejobi and Duro Ladipo.
He is popular for his early movies including Mosebolatan, Aare Agbaye, Tokunbo and Agba Man among others.
