Mere weeks after finding themselves on the wrong side of the law for a domestic altercation, WNBA players Brittney Griner and Glory Johnson tied the knot during a small wedding ceremony in Phoenix, Arizona, CNN reports.
The ceremony, which took place at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort on Friday, May 8, consisted of approximately 75 guests. According to People, the couple’s first dance was to Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud.”
Days after the nuptials, Griner took to Instagram with a celebratory message, which reads:
I don’t care if the world was ending at this moment! Nothing could [have] kept me from my wife. I think I cried the whole day until I saw her walking down that isle. Then in [an] instant I was calm and full of love and all the tears turned into huge smiles and a joy that no one can explain unless you have found and married your soulmate. I love you so much my beautiful Wife.
